Minutes of the July 2011 Orange Committee Board Meeting

The June 26, 2011, Orange Committee meeting was called to order by the Chair,
Devon Ames, at 8:00 PM, at the William Woollett Aquatics Center, Irvine,
California.

In attendance were: Judi Divan, MVN, Secretary/Treasurer; Patrick Gillespie,
GWSC; Kari Johnson, SET; Richard Davis, Officials Chair; Marilyn Bolton,
Meet Ops/Registration; Lynda Julson, Review; Ken Russell, AAA, Vice-Chair;
Mark Tierney, ORCA; Janet Knoeppel; Vickie Oland, SCAL; Patrick Snyder, SCAL;
Devon Ames, STOP, Chair; Kim Hoesterey, NOVA, Program; Brooke Wanser, AZOT,
Athlete Rep.

Secretary/Treasurer: Motion to approve minutes and treasurer's report. MSP.

Age Group report: Not present.

Coach Rep: Not present.

Senior Rep:  Not present.

Officials Rep: No report.

Review: A rehearing of a previously overturned protest is being scheduled.

Registration/Meet Ops: No report.

Athlete Rep: Question on how to request intermediate splits.  Requests for
intermediate splits should be made at admin during the meet in which they
occur.  If splits are requested after the fact, you need to email Judi Divan
at divanj@cox.net

Program: Motion to approve meet schedule for 2011-2012  MSP.
The September Ad Hoc meeting will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27.
The following teams should attend to plan their January 2012 meets:  MVN,
NOVA, FAST.

Announcements:  Bob Gillett, the GWSC/WCS head coach, has retired.  Mark
Schubert is the new head coach.

New Business:

Old Business: Teams should continue to monitor persons of concern at meets,
including photographers.
