Tuesday, January 26, 2016 @ 7:30 PM Woollett Aquatics Center, Irvine

Call to Order—7:30 p.m. by Devon Ames, Chair

Treasurer’s Report (Steve Quan):

Last known balance from 11/15/2015; $15,434.11.

Age Group Report (Richard Hunter):

Seeking input regarding SCS championship meet formats (Age group Champs & JO’s).

Festival Meet will be held 3/13/2016 at El Monte.  All athletes that would like to attend need to re-apply.  NACC will be held 8/11-13/2016 at the University of Houston.

Coaches’ Rep (Bill Voigt):

SCS was victorious at Pacific All Star meet.  The SCS clinic will be held October 1-2, 2016.  Winter JO’s hosted by SBSC will be held at the UCSB Recreation Center.  All Western Zone open water inquiries should be addressed to Jeremy Anderson.

Senior Representative (Ken LaMont):

SCS is working towards better coordination between senior and age group meet schedules.  A senior/age group planning meeting will be announced. 

Official’s Chair (Richard Davis):

There will be a change in DQ codes when they are approved.  Senior meet official assignments should be announced next week by Wes Jackert. Teams need to continue to solicit more parent interest in becoming officials.

Diversity Chair (Tracy Maurer):

Western Zone Diversity Camp will be held at the University of Utah 6/16-19/2016.

Athlete Rep (Courtney Mykkanen):

No Report; not present.

Program Chair (Kim Hoesterey):

Next meeting set for Tuesday February 23, 2016 at 7:30 pm.

Old Business:

Devon Ames stated he forwarded all meet scheduling concerns to Stacey Smith.  

New Business:

Goran Westerlund reported Weston Rowan being diagnosed with leukemia and is undergoing chemotherapy treatment. SCA is selling wristbands and t-shirts to raise funds for medical treatment.  All donations should be forwarded to the Caring Bridge Foundation.  

Tim Teeter expressed interest in hosting additional meets.  The committee discussion reflected a view that committee meets should not be added to the schedule after the Planning & Bidding process for the year was completed.
