Athlete Protection Training Expiration Change

The USA Swimming Safe Sport Committee has voted to return to a TWO year requirement for Athlete Protection Training.  ALL December 31, 2014 APT expiration dates will be pushed to December 31, 2015 without re-taking the APT.

Effective September 1, 2014, the APT expiration date will be based on the YEAR the training is taken.  Example: completion of the training any time between January 1 and December 31, 2015, will result in a December 31, 2017 expiration date. (Taking course in January gives almost 3 years)

Athlete Protection Training completed this fall (Sept 1-Dec 31, 2014) will expire December 31, 2016.
