Job announcement: TSM swim instructor/coach

Are you a lead swim instructor who is looking for growth? Are you passionate about swimming and want to become a competitive coach? If your answer is YES, then Team Santa Monica is looking for you!
 
Team Santa Monica, a premier swim club in Los Angeles is looking for a strong individual who is currently a lead instructor of a swim program, is passionate about swimming, is interested in professional growth, and wants to coach competitive swimmers.
 
The Position:
 
The available position is a lead instructor and on-deck supervisor of TSM’s swim school.
 
Responsibilities:
 
Manage and coordinate daily lessons
 
Answer parent questions and address their concerns
 
Supervise staff and control the quality of their work
 
Send updates and progress report to parents as needed
 
Send daily reports to Head Age Group coach
 
 
Growth opportunities:
 
Working with 2015 World Champion, 2016 Olympian, 2017 World Championship silver medalist
 
Working alongside 2016 Olympic Coach, 2017 Team USA Head Coach Dave Kelsheimer
 
Working with current National Team members
 
Attending USA National meets, Olympic Trials, OTC Training Camps, etc
 
 
Qualifications:
 
Legal right to work in the United States. 
 
We are looking for reliable, responsible individual with high energy and enthusiasm. 
 
Lifeguard/CPR certified
 
Background in swimming (swimming in college/high school/competitive club)
 
Experience running a swim lessons program or experience as lead instructor
 
USA Swimming certified coach (recommended)
 
Coaching competitive groups (recommended)
 
Computer/Google Docs savvy
 
 
Compensation:
 
Commensurate with experience and training; wages range $23-$25 an hour
