Age Group Rep

Due to a schedule conflict, George Young is unable to attend SCS Board Meetings on Wednesday evenings.  He feels he should step down as Metro Age Group Rep for this reason.  There was discussion that George could stay on as rep and have someone carry and proxy vote for him at the SCS Board Meeting.  Anyone interested in the Age Group position should contact Tom.

Decision tabled until the next meeting.

Q Meet

1st senior meet of the year.  Well attended and lots of qualifying times for Grand Prix.  Concern was raised that out of district swimmers were allowed to compete with time standards faster than the maximum and were allowed to compete in finals that displaced SCS swimmers.

Sherri will bring that concern to the SCS Board meeting.

Age Group Rep

George Young

Present

Festival Meet

Thanks to Metro Committee for its support of this meet.  Commerce made their pool available on short notice after El Monte was not able to host.  Metro had 3 coaches represented and 1 coach working with admin duties.

Metro Committee Surcharge

Currently Metro Committee collects 50 cents per swimmer from the meet entry fee (Swimmer Surcharge).  This fee is used by the committee to promote age group swimming.  The Metro Committee currently has a balance of about $13,000.  Our expenses currently are about $4,000 a year.
