Victory in Pacific Coast All Star Meet

This past weekend, Southern California Swimming sent an All-Star Team consisting of girl and boy swimmers from the 11-12 and 13-14 age groups to compete in the 2022 Pacific Coast All-Star Meet in Pacifica, CA. The meet featured All-Star Teams from Pacific Swimming, Pacific Northwest Swimming, and Oregon Swimming, all competing for the 2022 Championship.

On the line, was a twelve year winning streak for SCS, in which Southern California Swimming and Pacific Swimming tied in 2010. Since then, SCS has not lost this meet.

From the first heat of the 11-12 girls 4x50 Free Relay, the SCS team quickly took the lead and never looked back.

With an emphasis on racing in a true championship meet, the SCS swimmers took the challenge with strong performances from all the age-groups, winning small victories in each event to score valuable points for their team.

“It was great to watch our many swimmers from all over our LSC come together and cheer on their teammates at this meet” commented several members of the traveling SCS squad including coaches, swimmers, and family members in attendance. “It was exciting to watch all the great races”

By the competition’s end, SCS continued its winning streak with a sizable lead over its competition.

   Southern California Swimming              1128
   Pacific Swimming                                    785
   Pacific Northwest Swimming                759.5
   Oregon Swimming                                257.5

Next year, this meet will move to the great state of Washington, in which SCS will compete to extend its winning streak even further.

Congratulations to all of the coaches and swimmers who worked so hard to make this a successful trip.
