2023 National Diversity Select Camp Coach Applications Now Open!
Coach applications are now open for the USA Swimming 2023 National Diversity Select Camp, which takes place May 4-7 at the Olympic and Paralympic Training Center, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Applications must be received on or before March 3, 2023 by 5:00PM MT/4:00PM PT.
Applicant must be a current USA Swimming coach in good standing (2023 membership, Athlete Protection Training, background check, and CANRA- if residing in CA). Applicant must be able to arrive at the site by the afternoon on the day before camp (Wednesday) and depart midday following the camp (Sunday). Staff coaches receive transportation, lodging, meals, and camp attire.
Staff for the National Diversity Select Camps will be selected in two ways. USA Swimming staff will select the Head Coaches & Head Managers for each camp. Four assistant coaches & an assistant manager may be selected by an application process. Applications will be posted on this webpage shortly.
Coaching applicants must represent an underrepresented community and/or an ethnically underrepresented population that is less than 10% of the current USA Swimming membership. These populations can include African American/Black, Hispanic/Latinx, Asian or Pacific Islander, Native American and others. Others may be accepted if they represent another underrepresented demographic (e.g. LGBTQ+).
