Job Description
MPMR Swim Instructor
Teach children, 5y and up, basic skills in all 4
strokes.
Teach front and back dive progression set by USA
Swimming.
Prepare daily practice plan for groups based on teams’
culture and philosophy.
Targeted
weekly hourly will range from 10-15 hours depending on competitions between
5-9pm on. weekdays and Saturday afternoons during the school year and morning
to mid-afternoon during the summer during the week.
Provides
a positive, encouraging environment for swimmers of all skills and
ages.
Works
with closely with the head coach on training direction and swimmer progression.
Experience
-1-3 years of experience in
coaching competitive swimming in a learn-to-swim, age group, summer league or community swim
program.
- Excellent communication skills with successful
track record in working youth athletes.
- Swim Team Coaches must complete Red Cross
Safety for Swim Coaches within the first 30 days of employment.
Qualifications
-Previous
work with children.
-Swimming
knowledge/experience preferred.
- Certified in CPR, First Aid.
- Has passion for learning, swimming and
enjoys children.
