Assistant Coach (competitive swimming)

Santa Monica, CA – TEAM SANTA MONICA

TSM is a USA Swimming Club with approximately 200 swimmers. We are seeking a coach who is excited and enthusiastic about coaching age group swimmers.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Working directly with the Age Group Head Coach (AGHC), Associate Head Coach, and/or Head Coach in running and/or assisting practices as needed.
• Complete all administrative work assigned in a timely manner. (can be done at home– TSM does not have an office space)
• Attending Staff Meetings as required.
• Attending morning practices as required.
• Attending swim meets as required—[At least once a month].
• Completing any and all tasks assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:

A successful applicant must:

• Have prior USA Swimming club coaching and teaching experience. (at least 1 year.)
• Have legal rights to work in the United States. 
• Be reliable, responsible, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about the sport of swimming and coaching children of all ages and backgrounds, and young adults.
• Hold a valid Lifeguard/CPR certification. [USA Swimming valid coaching credentials is a plus].
• Demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively, work well with others, and connect with children. 

TSM seeks hard-working coaches who are interested in developing a competitively balanced athlete with an emphasis on stroke technique, while effectively training, motivating, and supporting swimmers of various abilities.

Compensation:

Commensurate with experience
