Assistant Coach

Position Description:

Buenaventura Swim Club has an immediate opening for a certified USA Swimming coach, looking for an hourly coaching role.

Buenaventura swim club is a year-round USA Swimming Club.  Our Mission is to Pursue excellence through the sport of swimming while providing a safe, healthy, and positive environment for athletes.  We present the opportunity for swimmers to develop physical fitness, self-discipline, and fundamental life skills.  Our goal is to create a fun environment in which we foster our student’s identities as self-motivated athletes and individuals inside and outside of the pool.

Workouts run 3:45-7:00 pm Monday-Thursday, Friday 4:00 to 6:00 PM also there is the possibility to coach the Master group from 5:15 to 7:15 AM. The exact schedule will be negotiated with the candidate.

Requirements:

• CPR/AED, Safety Training for Swim Coaches, APT, Background check, and in good standing with USA Swimming

  • 2 years of Club coaching.

• Must be able to provide stroke analysis, write workouts & create a training plan for swimmers with various levels of experience and a wide range of goals.

• Able to work with all levels of adult swimmers: beginners, fitness swimmers, triathletes, and serious competitive swimmers.

Responsibilities:

• Working with all levels of Age Group swimmers.

• Attend all staff meetings as required.

• Attend all Practices and Meets as required.

Compensation:

• Compensation will be an hourly rate and will depend on the experience and qualifications of the candidate.
