	Position Title: Assistant Head Coach
Organization: Cerritos Aquatic Club
Location: Cerritos, California
About Us: Cerritos Aquatic Club (CAC) is a
competitive swimming program dedicated to providing high-quality coaching and
training to swimmers of all ages and skill levels. With a roster of
approximately 120 kids aged 5-18, we strive to foster a supportive and challenging
environment where athletes can reach their full potential.
Position Overview: CAC is seeking a dynamic and
experienced Assistant Head Coach to join our coaching staff. The ideal
candidate will have 3-5 years of coaching experience, preferably in a
competitive swimming environment, and hold ASCA certification. This role will
involve assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of team management, training,
and development.
Responsibilities:
 - Collaborate
     with the Head Coach to plan and execute training programs for swimmers
     across all age groups and skill levels.
- Lead
     and supervise swim practices, providing technical instruction and feedback
     to athletes to improve performance.
- Assist
     in the development and implementation of seasonal training plans, meet
     schedules, and competition strategies.
- Mentor
     and motivate swimmers to set and achieve personal goals, both in and out
     of the pool.
- Communicate
     regularly with swimmers, parents, and coaching staff to ensure clarity and
     alignment on team objectives and expectations.
- Attend
     and support swim meets, including some weekends, to provide coaching and
     encouragement to athletes during competition.
- Assist
     with administrative tasks as needed, including meet entries, team
     communications, and equipment management.
Qualifications:
 - 3-5
     years of coaching experience in competitive swimming.
- ASCA
     Level 2 certification or higher preferred.
- Strong
     knowledge of swimming techniques, training methodologies, and competition
     strategies.
- Excellent
     communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work
     effectively with swimmers of all ages and their parents.
- Passionate
     about fostering a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes
     sportsmanship, dedication, and personal growth.
- Flexibility
     to work evenings and weekends as required, with a typical workload of
     20-25 hours per week.
Compensation:
 - Hourly
     rate: $30-$40 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
- Approximately
     20-25 hours per week, with some weekends required.
