Meeting held @ San Gabriel Adult Center

 

Present: Ruth Garrison (SFSA/Secretary/Registration),  George Young  (SGSG/Chair), Sheri Stoddard (PASA/vice Chair), Don Garman (IHAC/Age Group Rep), Kevin Larsen (COMM/Coach Rep), Hesham Sake (ARSC), Richard Wong (SGVA), Oliver Pena (Prog Sr.), Gabriel Duran (BPAC), Nikki Hendricks (BPAC), Kipp Sandvic (SGVA/Tres), Troy Williams (Prog Jr.).

Handed out copy of email Proposal for pilot meet formats for the fall season.

Dual – Tri- Quad meets

 

         I.      Meet Evaluations: / George Young

a.        BSC

Very fast & very small

11/12 200 back should have  been on form.

187 form late coming out & not available at prior meet.

 

       II.      Pressing meet format issues /Program Committee           

Proposal for Program to create meet format based on # of lanes. 

 

 

     III.      Policies/Procedures for entries/ Program committee

Ask Program Committee for tally of meet and grading system to be put into the by-laws J article VI Section 10.  Program Committee are working on it.

 

     IV.      Review of the SCS Age Group Meeting/ George Young

a. Questions

Try to make age group more exciting.

Wants the committee to come up with more changes to make it more exciting.  Big attention on kids having fun.

 

       V.      Meet schedule & formats / George Young

a.        Single sessions or split

b.       10 & under/8 & Under

c.        Single age group

d.       Postal Competitions

e.        Relays

f.         Dual Meets & Tri Meets

g.       Events offered  @ Champs

 

No more than 3 events @ AB level

 

Do not like makes the meet longer

Where teams can get together and work distance events

Time permitting

Maybe a relay meet!  Question  on # of officials needed

Every event does not have to offered by host club.

 

     VI.      Championship Meet issues: / Program Committee

a.        Championship meet vs. Invitational

b.       Open to concerns

Championships meet are long because we offer almost all events for everyone.

The length of these meets are a concern

 

   VII.      Questions and/or discussion on any age group issues / Program Committee.

Relays: possibility of doing creative relays.   (boys & girls mixed )  etc.

Shorter distance for 13 & Up
