Navy SEAL Challenge Topped by Quinn & Kubo

Saturday, September 29, 2012
Saturday morning over 350 Southern California Swimming athletes tackled the Navy SEAL challenge at the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center.  The event was the largest SEAL challenge held in the two year history of the program.  Anna Quinn of Conejo Simi topped the women's side scoring 656 points while Kent Kubo of Mission Viejo dominated the men's side scoring 310 points fueled by his outstanding pull up performance.  Elise Gronberg (MVN) at 690 in second, Rachel Forbes (ROSE) at 698 in third, MVN teammates Kendal Guy at 716 and Lauren Czaja at 722 in fourth and fifth rounded out the top five women overall.  Kubo was followed by Brad Matsumoto (MVN) at 503, Corey John (ROSE) at 523, David Heron (MVN) at 534 and Sina Riahi (UN) at 549 for top five men's spots.

A huge thank you to Jeff Julian and his staff at Rose Bowl for hosting the SEAL Challenge for the second time.
