Everyone,
Southern
California Swimming and the Orange committee has lost a dear friend and long
time official. Richard Edward Davis passed away on July 1, 2023
surrounded by his loving family. Richard served as a swim official for 38
years. Richard loved being on the pool deck at swim meets, and he especially
loved mentoring younger officials. Richard served on the SCS Officials
Committee and the Orange Committee for many years volunteering many hours to
create training content and providing his expertise and wisdom for the benefit
of all members of Southern California Swimming.
A
memorial to remember Richard will be held on the Golden West College pool deck
on Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 2:30-4:30 pm.

Richard
