SCS TEAMS STRONG AT JUNIOR NATIONALS WEST

​GREAT PERFORMANCES BY SCS SWIMMERS AND TEAMS AT USA SWIMMING JUNIOR NATIONALS WEST

SCS had several outstanding performances by swimmers in Austin, Texas this past weekend at the USA Swimming Junior Nationals - West competition.

In the teams scores - two SCS teams finished in the Top 10. Beach Cities Alpha won the Women's Division while Irvine Novaquatics was 6th and in the Men's Division NOVA was 2nd place with BCA finishing in 7th.

Individually, BCA was led by Gabi Brito who won five events - 50 Free, 100 Free, 100 Back, 100 Fly and 200 IM. She set SCS records in the 50 Free, 100 Free and 100 Fly. BCA also won the Women's 200 Medley Relay and 200 Free Relay with Gabi Brito, Andi Taylor, Sora Koike & Eryn Arnold.

Other individual event winners were - Kayla Han from RMDA who won the 500 Free and 400 IM, Alyssa Ton from NOVA won the 200 Free and Gabriel Manteufel from SAND won the 1650 Free. Also to note that Anthony Dornoff from RMDA finished 2nd in the 400 IM but set a new SCS record in the prelims.
